How We Work

  • We meet via Zoom with students for one hour per week until all applications are submitted. Sessions may go over an hour as needed and time permitting, with consent.

  • During our first meeting, we will share access to individualized spreadsheets. These documents are used to keep all writing and research organized and in one place.

  • Between meetings, students will work on tasks to help them stay on track. Every session is valuable, and we’ll use our time together to keep the process moving forward, even if all assigned tasks are not completed.

  • We focus on the multiple components of individual undergraduate, graduate, and transfer applications, including but not limited to: creating college lists, brainstorming qualities/values/themes, main Common App essays, activity descriptions, additional information and honors sections, supplemental essays, UC’s Personal Inquiry Questions (PIQs), and helping students prepare for interviews.

  • To make sure each application is complete, we will go over every section with the student, proofread carefully, and submit the application together, unless requested otherwise. We will not view or access any financial or private information during this process. Students will feel confident knowing their applications are correct. Parents are welcome to join and celebrate in this part of the meeting.

  • Once admitted to schools, we can help with scholarship essays as well as the final decision making.

  • We aim to keep students on schedule and guide them through the application process, but we do not write essays for them or guarantee admission to any school.

  • Whenever possible, we will plan to submit applications to Colorado schools on their designated Free-Application Days.

Scheduling & Policies

  • We ask students to set a consistent day and time for meetings.

  • Summer and Fall schedules may differ based on availability, but we encourage maintaining a predictable routine. We understand meeting times may need to occasionally be adjusted.

  • We charge an hourly rate, available upon request.

  • Unexpected things come up, but to ensure we can best support all of our students, we ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Appointments canceled within this window will still be charged our one hour rate. Thank you for your understanding!

Parent Communication

  • After each session, we will send parents a text message detailing the student’s progress and the session duration.

  • We will send a Venmo request after each session. Please submit payment following each meeting.

  • We look forward to listening, laughing, and learning together while guiding your student through this exciting time, celebrating their progress along the way. We know this process can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

You invest so much in your child’s college education. Isn’t it worth investing in expert guidance to help them get there? Our individualized program provides the strategy, support, and experience to make the process less stressful and more successful, preserving the parent/child relationship along the way.

We hope to have the opportunity to collaborate!
